The European Commission has requested PLATINA to develop a scenario for structural support for the RIS EG's in future. Therefore, PLATINA has executed an inquiry in 2011, which was sent to the EC in September 2011.
 

The major questions adressed in the inquiry were:
  • Are the RIS standards developed by the RIS Expert Groups of adequate quality and
  • Are the processes aligned on an adequate European level?
The first results were discussed with the (co)chairpersons and several RIS experts on 14 June 2011 in Rotterdam. As a follow up a final draft was developed Summer 2011. The report was sent for approval to the EC in September 2011.
