--Inland Vessel Traffic Servicessearch for term

Service, implemented by a competent authority, designed to improve the safety and efficiency of vessel traffic and to protect the environment. Inland Electronic Navigational Chartsearch for term

The database, standardised as to content, structure and format, issued for use with Inland ECDIS. The Inland ENC complies with the IHO standards S-57 and S-52, enhanced by the the additions and clarifications of this standard for Inland ECDIS. The Inland ENC contains all essential chart information and may also contain supplementary information that may be considered as helpful for navigation (Source: Standard Inland ECDIS CCR cversion 2.0/2006)

Inland System Electronic Navigational Chartsearch for term

A database resulting from the transformation of the Inland ENC by Inland ECDIS for appropriate use, updates to the inland ENC by appropriate means and other data added by the skipper. It is this database that is actually accessed by the Inland ECDIS for display generation and other navigational functions. Inland waterwayssearch for term

Rivers, lakes or other stretches of water, wheter linked to the sea or landlocked, which by natural or man-made features are suitable for navigation. In the river estuary the boundary between sea and inland waterways is the baseline established in accordance with international law (Source: Inland VTS Guidelines CCR version 1/2006)

Integrated Displaysearch for term

A head-up, realtive-motion picture consisting of the SENC overlaid with the radar-image with matching scale, offset and orentation (Source: Standard Inland ECDIS CCR version 2.0/2006)
