EU RIS Project Coordination meeting successful

The EIWN conference in Budapest on 9 and 10 June was concluded on 11 June in Baja Hungary with a successful meeting between various RIS Experts participating in 4 different EU projects. The meeting was opened by EC DG MOVE policy associate Ms Astrid Schlewing, introducing the EU RIS policy objective. Some 50 people participated. After Ms Schlewing's introduction, the status of the various EU projects was presented. It was concluded that "Synergy between the various projects is of major importance for the success of RIS implementation in Europe."  
The meeting of 11 June can be regarded as a prelude to the second RIS Common Issue meeting, which is due 17 November 2010 in budapest, during the European RIS week - when all four RIS Expert Groups meet.
