This TEN-T Action aims at the development and implemententation of Fairway Information Services (FIS) in the Netherlands, that will fully comply with the RIS Directive and subsequent technical specifications.
This TEN-T project is part of a global project of implementing Directive 2005/44/EC on harmonised River Information Services (RIS) in the Netherlands and Germany.
This TEN-T action concerns studies and works undertaken by the two Flemish inland waterway managers (Waterwegen en Zeekanaal NV and NV De Scheepvaart) and the Flemish sea ports of Antwerp and Gent in order to comply with the RIS (River Information Services) Directive.
